THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER – LAURA INNES GUEST STARS – Detective Britten (Jason Isaacs) suddenly becomes a suspect in his own case when an FBI agent, Santoro (Megan Dodds), questions his methods of tracking down a serial killer thought to be dead. Meanwhile, in the wake of her son’s death, Hannah (Laura Allen) is finding comfort in exploring the possibility of moving to Oregon and going back to school. Both Dr. Lee (BD Wong) and Dr. Evans (Cherry Jones) believe that if Britten moves out of Los Angeles that his healing will progress and that his dreams will disappear.

When a last-minute emergency arises, Ben is forced to leave and Pete (David Walton) comes in to try and save the day. Meanwhile, Screwsie (Margo Harshman) is offered the catering job for the wedding and enlists Waltâs (Jeffrey Tambor) help. Elsewhere, Alexâs necklace goes missing and the crew falls under suspicion.

ACADEMY AWARD WINNER HELEN HUNT UNCOVERS THE MISSING PIECES OF HER FAMILY HISTORY — Helen Hunt’s father lost his mother as a child and didn’t know much of his maternal family’s history. Armed with little information, Helen learns of the trials and triumphs of her paternal ancestors. Her journey leads her to San Francisco where she learns of her great great grandfather, a Jewish immigrant, and his involvement in launching Wells Fargo. As she continues her search, Helen finds that her great great grandmother was instrumental in the fight for women’s rights.

JACK REVAMPS HIS EFFORTS TO RESCUE HIS WIFE, WHILE LIZ AGREES TO MENTOR HAZEL (GUEST STAR KRISTEN SCHAAL).Liz struggles in her new role as mentor to Hazel. Kenneth has a difficult time letting go of his page duties and takes drastic measures to make sure Tracy is taken care of. Liz’s scripted version of Jack and Avery’s love story leaves Jack confused and frustrated by his feelings for Diana. Meanwhile, Jenna and Tracy attempt to beat Weird Al Yankovic (guest starring as himself) at his own game, and Kenneth gets an unexpected new job at NBC.

THE BABYSITTER’S CLUB – While investigating an alleged suicide during an upscale yacht party with Detective Vega, Detective Britten runs into Rex’s former babysitter Kate (guest star Brianna Brown). Later, in a case Britten is investigating with “Bird”, Kate appears again, this time as a suspect. Dr. Lee and Dr. Evans try to help him make sense of his run in with these two very different versions of the same woman.

CHELSEA SETS HER SIGHTS ON A BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF BOOTS WHILE RICK SETS HIS SIGHTS ON WINNING A MIXOLOGY CONTEST – When Chelsea spies a pair of gorgeous but expensive boots in a shop window, she knows she must own them but is not sure how she will pay for them. Meanwhile, Rick is determined to win a local “mixology” contest and put the winnings toward starting his own bar. However, when the judges are less than impressed with his drink, he turns to Chelsea for the recipe to her delicious “bang bang” cocktail and promises to split the proceeds if they win.

THE SEARCH FOR A MURDER SUSPECT LEADS TO POWERFUL RARE COINS AND ANSWERS TO NICK’S PAST – TITUS WELLIVER GUEST STARS –A failed jewelry store robbery results in a murder that finds Nick and Hank immersed in a hunt for rare coins. Nick soon learns that these coins have an unsettling effect on whoever possesses them, as Hank and Captain Renard begin to exhibit unusual behavior. Meanwhile, a mysterious old friend of Aunt Marie’s (guest star Titus Welliver, “Lost”) comes to Nick with information about his family and what led to his parent’s death.
