Armed with little information, Helen learns of the trials and triumphs of her paternal ancestors. Her journey leads her to San Francisco where she learns of her great great grandfather, a Jewish immigrant, and his involvement in launching Wells Fargo. As she continues her search, Helen finds that her great great grandmother was instrumental in the fight for women’s rights.

THE BABYSITTER’S CLUB – While investigating an alleged suicide during an upscale yacht party with Detective Vega, Detective Britten runs into Rex’s former babysitter Kate (guest star Brianna Brown). Later, in a case Britten is investigating with “Bird”, Kate appears again, this time as a suspect. Dr. Lee and Dr. Evans try to help him make sense of his run in with these two very different versions of the same woman.

Meanwhile, Rick is determined to win a local “mixology” contest and put the winnings toward starting his own bar. However, when the judges are less than impressed with his drink, he turns to Chelsea for the recipe to her delicious “bang bang” cocktail and promises to split the proceeds if they win.

Nick soon learns that these coins have an unsettling effect on whoever possesses them, as Hank and Captain Renard begin to exhibit unusual behavior. Meanwhile, a mysterious old friend of Aunt Marie’s (guest star Titus Welliver, “Lost”) comes to Nick with information about his family and what led to his parent’s death.
